mindful connecting group:

This group focuses on our relationships. Building relationships in a pandemic, venturing back into the world and meeting new people, and connecting with people you already have relationships with will all be discussed. You’ll explore your social concerns and learn tools to think mindfully and achieve your social goals, whatever they may be!

It's Always a New Year: Mindful Goal Setting and Accountability group:

If you’ve already given up on your New Year’s resolutions, frequently struggle with accomplishing any goals, or factors outside of your control have gotten in the way of your dreams (Ahem… COVID…), this is the group for you! Because every moment is a new year, an opportunity to start fresh, no matter what’s happened in the past or is going on outside of ourselves. We’ll use mindfulness as the basis to learn how to dream big, set goals we can actually achieve, develop a doable plan to get there, and support and hold one another accountable as we do all this together.


Adult DBT Skills Groups:

Is it hard for you to be in the present moment, regulate your emotions, handle stressful situations, or develop and maintain relationships in your life? If so, and you’d like to create a more meaningful and fulfilling life, learning DBT skills will be incredibly helpful to you. We’ll explore how to change your behaviors, emotions, and thoughts that are linked to the problems in your life that are causing you misery and distress. Specifically we’ll focus on mindfulness skills, interpersonal effectiveness skills, emotion regulation skills, and distress tolerance skills in a supportive environment.

The Sunrise Sessions:
 

Donation-based mindful hiking at sunrise in Griffith Park. Sunrise sessions provide a way to energize and focus yourself as you begin your day. This is not a therapy group but rather an opportunity to practice mindfulness using Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) exercises and connect with nature, yourself, and other group members. The group will begin with a brief introduction followed by approximately 40 minutes of mindful hiking and 10-15 minutes of mindful reflection post hike. Register to obtain specific location and meeting time.
